If you're using the batteries for purposes other than the tools, ridgid is the brand to go with thanks to the lifetime service agreement on the batteries, which is effectively a lifetime warranty. Just don't tell them you used them in anything other than their tools.

Lots of things, they make adapters for basically any tool brand. Commonly people use them to run their kid's power wheels. I have a diesel heater that I've modified to run off them. They also make inverters to plug in whatever you like.

Not knocking this deal. Great price effectively $8.50 an amp including the charger.

HD had a recent price drop on the Ridgid MAX OUTPUT EXP for $12 an amp. For those who want a newer tech battery for a decent price it may be worth saving your money - unless this form factor as others mentioned for adapter use or inverter use etc and portability is needed.

So for about $96 pre-tax you can (when sale rolls around again) get the 8.0 MAX EXP version (a step up over Max Output).

The Max batteries were $119 or $129 for two a couple of days ago. For a home user, the Max may not be worth almost double the price.

This is a stupidly good deal, especially given the LSA. Batteries will inevitably wear out, but with these you get a replacement when that happens.

There's plenty of tools that see zero benefits from max output batteries. The tool has to be wired to use the extra discharge. Depending on what you're doing it's probably usually going to be more useful to have more batteries than higher output batteries. Even the high output batteries are only really useful when the tools are being tested to the max. I've had an Octane high torque for over 3 years now. When I originally purchased it I only ever used max output or octane batteries, but since then I've realized that it takes off lug nuts just fine with the low power batteries and i just reach for whatever is fresh off the charger. Torque Test Channel proves there is a top end benefit to max output batteries, but realistically most of us aren't going to be pushing our tools to the limits of what they can do.

You don't. Ever. What he was saying was you could at one point pay ~$200 for two. Not sure I believe that either and do you need 8A/H max output

If, I can get it at a clearance price, sure, I can use it. Is it not a great thing to get, for another reason? I'm Still new to rigid and open to learn

#2. I found two 4a/h max output for $75+ taxes at a store. .i should keep those, correct? I have the 1/2 impact wrench - single handheld, Reciprocating Saw, etc.,.
