Love Knipex and these are fantastic. Waiting on a good deal for the comfort grip so I can give this set to my son.

Definitely found myself using the 7" and 10" the most in the past 10+ years. The 12" probably only used once or twice, but nice knowing they're there if needed.

Honestly, the one I use the most isn't in this set, and would highly recommend if you ever see on sale. It's just so powerful/useful for its size:

I am heading for the first time to germany in a few weeks to do some tool shopping tourism and will be replacing some of my stolen tools. Should I just got these or are there some super sweet germany only sets I should know about?

I've long wanted to buy that one if only because it's adorable.

Some of the reviews are complaining they are used because they have oil on them. Ignore that part of the review. They are shipped with a protectant on them. Sometimes there is too much. Just wipe them down. Depending on how you use your tools it's a not a bad idea to wipe them down with something like 3 in one oil. That coating will protect against rust.
That is all. Carry on.

they have a 2 pack with the 7" and 10", am I going to regret not buying the 3 pack with the 12" for only 33 more shipped if I get it?

Ya it's tiny. But it can tackle things way over its weight class and it's practically EDC. I always try that first before bothering to break out anything bigger.

I suspect the majority of homeowners and people who use pliers once in a blue moon can get away with jo-shmo pliers $10 Harbor Freight weekly special. I would tend to think these are heavy duty and can be used commerical or for those who use them on a regular basis.

Some great advice I heard years ago. Buy the HF tool when you need it. If it breaks or becomes unusable, go buy the reliable brand equivalent. Majority of folk can get by with the HF cheapos and save a lot of money I'm the process.
