I have a similar system (probably an earlier model by the same company judging by the base unit design). I was happily surprised by it. The vacuum is pretty quiet and it works well on soft fur. I don't have a dog with thicker fur, but it should be OK on that as well. much less messy and itchy affair when I trim the dogs. I had previously been just using scissors.

Worth it at this price. It groom Australian shepherd at home and it helps ton to keep the hair going everywhere specially when using the clippers.
