I have a growing suspicion that Home Depot has become a stealthy marketplace for no name 3rd party sellers.
I can't find it disclosed anywhere on the page
But I would be a little wary of assuming this is legit just bc it's also "sold by Home Depot"
on HD:
new item.
0 reviews
1 month manufacturer warranty
no certifications
mismatched info in the Walmart listing. both 300 and 330 lb capacity.
for those who buy it, id be curious to see what official labels/certifications are on it.
sold under numerous "brand" names
same item on AliExpress as a no name ladder. (I don't think I'm allowed to directly link)
cheapy/sketch ladders is a pretty big risk. YMMV. maybe it's awesome.
but the OSHA inspector or worker's comp claim investigator might not be amused if/when someone gets hurt.

Same thing, just a different brand. I got it for $89.99 + tax. On Mar 14, 2025. So, if you want to wait.

However, I've been using the Werner for a few days (borrowed from a neighbor) and I found it much more sturdy than I expected it to be when I first looked at it. I'm impressed with the Werner. After looking more closely at the reviews on the original posted ladder I was left feeling it was much more of a lightweight version. The Werner from HD is satisfyingly durable in my use. Hope this helps someone.

It's been rock solid, and it feels really sturdy as well
I am not sure I follow the scaffold comment you made, you can actually take apart the ladder, and use it as a scaffolding. This vid shows how it's setup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tVI5yX
