Well I guess verizon doesn't want my money. One ordered canceled, and another one on hold. Best part, spent 3 hours on the phone and no one could help me with anything just kept getting passed around from department to department 🙃

Anyone having issues like this double check your order. Could be on hold because Verizon needs to verify info. Happened to me where I had to upload ID and a bill for proof of residence.

People getting rejected could try the iPhone 14 with 128GB for $99. plus plan at Total. 60 day unlock and then have the freedom of choosing their carrier. Ok, I called a Total store here in California and the iPhone 14 and the Moto G can both be had for $250. with cases. OTD. The 14 by itself requires 3 months of service, but with adding a 2nd line to make it a family plan, only one month of each is required. EDIT: only one number needed to port needed to get both phones

Is there a corporate store somewhat nearby that you could go in and ask? Someone else posted in the thread that they tried that. I actually did as well when I realized that my order (which had been on hold) had the phone number changed and I didn't have the means to verify my email account because I couldn't enter the number. I'm told that my order shipped and will arrive on Tuesday via FedEx.

I knew this was coming as Verizon post paid and prepaid were losing a lot of customers who bought a phone/plan with getting a heavily discounted phone and after 60 days, bailed when phone unlocked. I think the 60 day unlock will be soon gone: http://www.theverge.com/news/6725...equirement
All the more reason to jump on the deal (as long as it's a good deal to you).

Looks like these 14+ are 2 year old overstock merchandise, inferring from the iOS 16.5 it came with, however I checked the battery and it reports a 100% healthy status. When I turned it on for the first time, the battery was at 27% charge. I got the 256GB version.I just updated it to the latest 18.5 and all is woking fine.I like the fact that it has the same 12MP main camera module as the 13 Pro Max which is better in low light and colors than the newer 48MP modules, since its lens has a larger aperture and longer focal length for less distorted images (26 vs 24 mm Eqv). This 14+ is a great value at this price and highly recommended!
I haven't gotten my phone yet. Any downsides to getting a new, but old stock, phone (like the one you received)?

The iPhone 14 and the 14 Plus have the same camera and identical scores on DXO, camera stills 135 and video at 144. That said, the iPhone 13 is a great deal as I paid $90. out the door at a Total dealer. The iphone 13 camera at DXO rates it almost the same as the 14 at 133 and video at 144. Bonus with the 13 is that it's the last year with using a sim which makes sim swapping easy.

I have read that the 14 series has autofocus on the selfie camera, so that's an improvement. Also the 14 Plus has the larger screen and this particular deal has the larger storage sizes as options (256 GB and 512 GB), whereas I imagine your Total deal was for the 128 GB iPhone 13. However, I agree that the iPhone 13 at $90 (perhaps plus a second month of service in order to get it unlocked after 60 days?) with the unlock after 60 days is probably the better overall value per dollar spent, but the 14 plus is also a good deal for the set of features that distinguish it from the 13 even if the 14 lineup does not have the the physical SIM tray.

no wrong choice with any of these deals. I love the build quality and speakers on the iPhones, but prefer the android system.

14 has free emergency satellite for 2 years and the crash detection absent in the 13, so that's easily worth something.

Awesome. Yes I wanted a new phone, with larger screen size, and when thinking about this phone in the $300 range compared to >$1000 for the 16 Plus with that screen size and 256 GB and higher, this just provided the best value to cost. In that sort of mid-$300 price point is the base iPad, yes, it now has the A16 chip, but the screen is dull and doesn't get as bright. Yeah, the phone isn't an iPad, and I can't write directly on it in the same way there are apps for the iPad (with a stylus/Apple Pencil), but a lot of what I think my use case will be for is mostly for reading web pages/articles/news, watching videos, using some apps, social media, texting, etc. that can be done on a phone or tablet. And a cellular iPad is likely $500 minimum for the regular iPad, and the one I'd want is the Air and that's even more expensive. So I just thought the price in the low-mid $300s for the 14 Plus and portability/connectivity (as a cellular device), with only 60 days until it unlocks, is a great value (for my use case). I will say I am curious how well "action mode" (available in the 14 series but not 13) works and am looking forward to testing it out.I'm sure there will be deals in the future. Hard to know when (but Verizon prepaid does offer deals periodically in iPhones) or whether Verizon will fully adopt the ID/address verification as a hurdle to getting their phone discounts (as it appears that Metro now has too sometime in the last couple of months, and Total has been this way for a while).
Few days ago, the total price is $386 for 512gb, today it's $425, the phone is still $299, they already increased the tax?
