I'd say it's definitely a buy at this price especially with the added warranty through Costco. The 83" B is almost identical to the 83" C (same processor), it's just not as bright (except in game mode for some reason). I have this tv in my basement and it is plenty bright for me. Unless they just have a ton of stock, I can't imagine the price getting lower especially with the whole tariff uncertainty. If you're in the market for a large OLED, I'd buy this without hesitation.

Some references:
RTings: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/b4-oled
"The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall."

Video comparison: https://youtu.be/3ew4vXcmDgU?si=czjkuzphz7lFUKmg

Edit: it's part of the buy more save more promo, so you can get a pretty awesome deal by combining it with a Gladiator rack for another $100. https://www.costco.com/.product.1...ue&nf=true

After researching to the point of madness, I purchased this from Costco 3 weeks ago. When you buy the B4 83", you are essentially buying a C4 83". It has all the same internal components as the C4 in this size. You will be amazed if never owning an OLED TV. If you are on the fence, just do it.

Any expert can help me decide if I should go for this one or 85" Samsung QN90D? I have a very bright living room (3 windows and a door facing backyard) and viewing distance is about 17 ft.
Usage is mixed for Netflix, some sports, kids video and bit of gaming.
Thanks in advance.
Windows on opposite wall directly facing screen or direct beams of sunlight on screen and you use TV a significant amount during day? Get the brighter TV.

Windows off to the side or most content is consumed after sun is setting? Get the OLED.

I'll have mixed use. Some during day some during night. My windows and door will be right side of the tv and not directly facing towards and tv is never facing sunlight directly. I am getting 85" Samsung QN90D with EPP in same price as this one LG B4 from Costco

Same situation as many here with the tv having some daytime sun, not direct though but see some reflections during the day. Currently have a 10 year old Sony Bravia and time to upgrade. Deferring to the masses, would you go with this or the 85" Sony? Thanks for the advice!

The LG perks program has this even cheaper, there is another thread on it.

If reflections bother you on what you have in there now, go with the brighter set. If they don't too much, get the OLED. OLED is always better, unless you really need the brightness.

Imo the screen is way to big for competitive gaming where input lag would really be an issue, but for a TV it is great.
Is this just with FPS'S?!? I couldn't see it making a different in a fighting game or LOL.

I don't really think it's lag but more screen to cover, making you a bit slower?!?!? At least for fps's. But for fighting.... a hadouken is the same range regardless.

LG US store (not partner store) also has this TV for $2000. After adding the TV to cart when I tried to close the web page they offered 8% coupon, making the price $1840. I see a CB site (starts with R) has 15% CB (though the CB site mentions using any coupon will void the CB, but I remember they had same terms for Samsung and I bought few times with coupons and got CB). So with 15% CB, the price becomes $1564.

Thinking if I should order from LG..

Unless you are really concerned about the warranty and customer service, I would go with LG. You should get the cash back. I did the same thing on this same tv a few months ago and used a code not on their site and still got the cash back. I also had to deal with LG customer service but had no issue with them. The tv was supposed to come with free "stand set up" but the people who delivered it had no idea what I was talking about. So I contacted LG and they refunded $50 and added an extra year of warranty for free. There's also 4% cash back at LG for some Amex cards

Can someone who is knowledgeable about lg provide me with some insight? Would the lg 77 C4 for $1800 or this 83 B4? Would the C4 be much of an improvement in picture quality?
Thanks.

Pretty solid deal, especially with the 5-year warranty and $100 Costco card. Don't usually see 83" OLEDs drop this low.

This is good to know, thanks. I had the same thing happen to me when they delivered it last week. I just emailed customer service, maybe they will give me something similar.
