can these 4000 series laptops get any lower than this? Should I wait 1-1.5 month or buy this?

And is this a better deal for $1299 because of the screen?

Thanks I think it was issue with slickdeal app. I see now with my pc. It is weird. But, Dell one also looking great if you have Amex deal 100 off + cash back app 12%. I might pull trigger on Asus since Amazon has better return policy

No offense to the OP, or any luckier Asus fans, but FYI / FWIW - My 4/16/2025, Asus Vivobook S 15 review on Best Buy:

I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death. The Geek Squad "FIXED it" THREE times, but shortly after I got it home, same thing, BSOD!
Sent it into the ASUS service center, and when I got it back 15 days later, got BSOD twice within 4 minutes.
They said the warranty does NOT include any replacements or refunds.

I will never buy another ASUS product. And will avoid buying from Best Buy also.

PS - This is the one I bought:

.

April 25 EDIT: I talked to the Best Buy store manager yesterday, hoping that they could step up & help a loyal customer out. Nope! But he did take this opportunity to tell me that I should have bought their ($180) Total membership plan (within 1 or 2 weeks of purchase), so that I might have been eligible to have gotten store credit or exchange. No, I don't think I will.

PS - Asus has a D- rating at the Better Business Bureau - Failure to respond to 83 complaint(s) filed against business

Thanks for sharing. The specs looks great and with the 10% or 13% cash back plus $100 amex offer this seems a great deal. I'm almost ready to jump on it but the reviews on amazon make me really worried: https://www.amazon.com/product-re...filter-bar

The notebookcheck review also gives me pause. It sounds like they went out of their way to cripple the G16 so it doesn't compete with their Alienware series. They cut too many corners for my taste. Also, a single usb-c port that is shared for everything including power and display is ridiculous. They presume everyone will cough up for their docks. I have an Inspiron that does the same, and it pisses me off so much.

Hm, looks like a new one is $1600 for me, but Amazon Resale has it "like new" for $1150, maybe that's worth snapping up.
