Sams allowed me to create a new account with the same credentials after a 6 month lapse. You lose all of your purchase history in the app and have to get a new card in store but besides that no issues.

You can show your "card" in the Sam's Club app to the greeter, as well as scan its barcode at checkout (if not doing Scan and Go) and at their gas pumps. I haven't bothered to get a physical card in years.

I just got my membership back off Groupon last week for same price. Letting Costco expire next month. It's way to crowded for me.

If Walmart was "smart" they would bundle Sam's and Walmart + and only charge $50 for it. I have paid full price for Sam's in almost a decade. I won't pay for Walmart + but would if it was a bundle.

I was thinking the same! I'd pay for Walmart+ if a Sam's Plus membership was thrown in.

I used my 2022 account here as is, it looks like the old one got deleted, so I re-did it with the same info!

Boneheads make you order in the app to go to the cafe now. I don't even darken their doors anymore. Costco is way better.

First time over many years I can't sign up as new member. New email, new phone number, even using my Wife as primary for first time. Nothing works, no offer as starting a new account like in past two years.

Do you have to go to the front desk in person after signing up online? Going to use a someone else's mailing address, and don't want there to be any issues. My address was already used within last month…

You don't have to unless you want a physical card. They will ask for your ID to confirm address if you do want to get a physical card. You can, however, put in someone else's address, and then after getting your membership, change it to your own address and go get your physical membership card. You can do everything with the app without having a physical membership card.

Even buying the plus membership at $60 you'd have to spend $250/month or $3k a year to exactly cover the cost. That seems like a ton to me which is why I've never bought the better membership at Sam's or Costco.

same - ive had this happen many times. I'm not sure how others say they have 6 months to renew
