I had recently purchased a new Sam's Club membership using an expired existing account (6 months expired) with the same name, password, address, email, phone number, and credit card. I did not delete my expired account beforehand. Maybe deleting browser cookies will help with the tracking issue?
My method each time on renewals:
First, I delete all Sam's Club cookies in my browser.
Then, using the Sam's Club code link, I enter all my info.
There will be two pop-up windows going through the process.
The first pop-up will say "Looks like your membership has expired." Click "Yes" to create a new account with the same account info.
The second pop-up will say "You look familiar." Click on "No, Join." This will complete the new account with the old info without otherwise renewing.
