I need this sale to end, very tempting. We currently have a 82" Class Q70R QLED Smart 4K UHD TV (2019). And I just don't see the NEED to upgrade, although it would be nice. If I could guarantee I could sell the Samsung for $1k, I'd do it

The 83in B4 is 144hz along with the same center mount. You have to realize reviews like the ones on rtings only ever do one size. TVs have almost always differentiated once you got to weird sizes (the 40inchers) or the largest sizes. This is why every 83in OLED uses an LG WOLED panel, even Samsung, cause there's really only one supplier atm. This was the case in the LCD era too (an entire line would be VA until it hit a size and then swapped to IPS)
That's totally fair and thank you for the correction. It's really for the brightness for me personally but for the $1k difference, I'm sure it's hard to tell. Apparently the upscaling is better too. The real jump is to the G4, but that price jump is even bigger.

Purchased G4 65" from lg partner store a few months ago on that insane deal they had/price error... It arrived to me in 4 days, no problems at all with the delivery, box was prestine, etc.. so it's very YMMV as to what experience ordering from lg partner store will be.... if it goes south you can always do a charge back right? If you have the amex 4% on this, then it's really hard to beat for a 83" oled...

Yeah, even though I have a truck I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Costco deal with free delivery over the LG Partner deal. It'll be here Friday, the price came out to barely more than the LG store with their worse warranty and month long delivery window. Well worth the few extra bucks. For reference:Costco deal:5 year warranty (2 factory+costco, 3 allstate), local pickup or fast delivery, $100 gift card taking it down to $1,899LG Partner:4 year warranty (1 factory, 3 LG by Asurion), slower delivery, noted nightmare situations with LG Partner $1,869.98So actually yeah, if you want the warranty package, the Costco deal is 100% the way to go. Somebody feel free to correct my napkin maths if I'm off.

Don't forget 4% Costco cash back rewards with their Citi Card

I got the 77 C4 LG partner deal and now kind of wishing I got this 83 B4.

B4 is good but the C4 is better in everyway. Saying they are nearly identical is just a flat out lie.
Depends where you are mounting it. The only real benefit at the 83" size in the c4 slight brightness increase for non gaming content. They run the same processor.

I bought a 77" B4 at Costco with 5 year warranty in March for $999.97. Love it except the magic remote is horrible compared to Sony and Samsung. They are fixing the remote for 2025 models. Hoping the 2025 remote works on 2024 TVs. Bought a 4K google tv box with remote to get away from the magic.

83" B4 is a reskinned C4, alot of people don't know that.

B4 83" is on clearance at some Costco's for $1499.97. The 83" takes forever to sell compared to the 77" in my area, CT. I love the stand on the 83", feels very top end G4. But I like my b4. It's not fancy but thankfully not horrible like the Samsung s90d stand.
They finally sold out of the B4 83" at my local Costco, it was on clearance for 2 months which is a long time to clear TVs at Costco, by contrast the 77" cleared out in 2 days. $999 vs $1499. Both were amazing deals. 77" is perfect size for my space, had an 85" prior and it looked gaudy for my smallish living room even after 3 months of ownership.

Rtings.com seems to find the b4 to be not reskinned c4. I have a 77" b4, I don't expect it to be a c4. Where did you get that info?
Rtings. Scroll down to the section that explains the difference in size variants, it explains it. It is only for the 83".

"The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall."

What's wrong with the Magic Remote? The one Costco gets is a special variant with NFC. I only have LGs with the normal Magic Remotes, but have always thought they were fine.
