No offense to the OP, or any luckier Asus fans, but FYI / FWIW - My 4/16/2025, Asus Vivobook S 15 review on Best Buy:
I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death.
The Geek Squad "FIXED it" THREE times, but shortly after I got it home, same thing, BSOD!
Sent it into the Asus service center, & when I got it back 15 days later, got BSOD twice within 4-min.
They said the warranty does NOT include any replacements or refunds.
I will never buy another Asus product. And will avoid buying from Best Buy also.
April 25 EDIT: I talked to the Best Buy store manager yesterday, hoping that they could step up & help a loyal customer out. Nope! But he did take this opportunity to tell me that I should have bought their ($180) Total membership plan (within 1 or 2 weeks of purchase), so that I **might** have been eligible to have gotten store credit or exchange.
No, I don't think I will.

Yours looks like MS problem. I would switch the ssd or try reset the ssd booting sector. Hard drive has parts that are not easily formatted, and MS can make changes to it when installing some firmware.

Appreciate the info.
The laptop is currently at the Asus service center in Jeffersonville, IN, for their 2ND warranty repair attempt.
1. Do you think they will do what you're suggesting?
2. How many more attempts should they get before they deem it un-repairable & give me a replacement?

From my experience with MB support, ASUS is the best, also greatly better than the rest. I still don't believe they would change ssd. They are also not supposed to give you a replacement, your limited warranty is not Microcenter protection which is great but costly.
You are terrible customer. You should know troubleshooting when buying contemporary MS shit. You should expect less from hardware sellers, they mainly solve much easier problems. You should start blaming the seller after determining the problems belong to the seller.
Is this the same as the refurbished eBay item? Just with 16gb team vs 32gb?
Yes the model # matched, I got the one from ebay, so far so good, display and battery life are amazing, fingers crossed I don't get the blue screen issue mentioned above

That's a completely different laptop; that's the Ryzen version, this is the Snapdragon version. X64 vs ARM.
True.
But it's still Asus that decides if/when they'll replace it if you end up with a lemon, aka expensive paper weight.
83 complaints at BBB suggests that maybe they DGAF about their warranty.
Which means their "replacement" could also be a POS.
:-(

Could it be those 83 are mostly same terrible customers like you? Asus sell massive amount of things, and people don't go to BBB for good service. You are truly some of the worst shoppers. Sellers should ban you.
I'm not even a customer who prioritize Asus because of their premium pricing strategy, my recent asus purchases are all open-box from microcenter at fraction of original price, MB and PCIE cards. My experience is that Asus honors open box warranty, has CS that does know the product, and offers replacement when problems are clear, either one of these is top level CS in my book.

WTF, how much does Asus pay you??
Yes, WE are TERRIBLE CUSTOMERS for buying their SH1TTY products and then complaining about it.
Should we just stay quiet while they keep FAILING to fix their POS?
Then be happy with their POOR QUALITY CONTROL, turning it on and finding out that they didn't fix anything! And we should HAPPILY send it back to their Service Center, OVER & OVER AGAIN!?
What kind of useless WARRANTY is that??
Think about it, where do you think all of their "open box", "recertified", refurbished, and "renewed" products for sale come from?? From customers who RETURN them because they're crap.
I would LOVE it if terrible sellers with terrible warranties BAN me from buying their crap!
