Costco has them for 399.99 if you have a membership.
FYI. If you're a Costco member these are slightly cheaper and you get the lifetime return policy.

I picked them up after using the 5400s for a few years before lighting storm fried them. Costco took them back and I upgraded to these.

Reason I picked this is all ports are 2.5Gbps compared to say the 75x pros which only have 1 2.5gbps port.

So far no issues.
You can't beat Costco return policy if any issues occurs.

I bought the BE11000s a while back and absolutely love them. The model numbers are so confusing (BE10000 and BE11000). They're not even consistent from different merchants, and it's hard to know the difference. But ultimately they're great products - I came from an ASUS mesh that was constantly having issues. This one is rock solid.

How do these stack up? I was looking to upgrade my eeros.
I had the non-7 Decos, 3 total. My Sonos sound system kind of 'blew up' and after a long time on the phone with Sonos, they discovered my Decos had lost the 2.4 part of the system, leaving only the 5 ghz side. The TP-Links were only about 10 months old. I had older Orbis before which were OK, but this time went with ASUS Zen WIFI Pro XT12. I am no expert on this stuff, but I was blown away with how strong the signal is (4800 sq ft house) and how well they work. I would buy them again in a heartbeat, whereas I would not buy the Deco stuff again because of the short life span I experienced. I know there are a lot of opinions...Ubiquiti is the only other one I would consider at this point, besides Asus.

Do these have the backhaul feature that Orbi has? I have an above garage movie room where wifi goes to die and that's how I get signal there with my current RBK50 setup.

Well... just pulled trigger. PRIME STORE CARD gives 20% amazon cash back as well!!! Called costco and my 3 yr old deco 5300xe will be fully credited making this a $15 upgrade in the end. Have to say it was a good day.......
How do you return a 3-yr old product? Just genuinely asking like what Costco number did you call and what did you tell them as to why you want to return?

Wait you can return previouslyPurchased tp-link to Costco anytime? What do you need to tell them?

Nothing. Just go to the return and pull up the order on your app or they can search it. Routers and modems don't fall under the 90 day rule.

I would not suggest an investment in any TP-Link products until government decides banning status as TP-Link products were used by CCP to launch 🚀 massive hack on cellular networks (still infected btw), water 💦 supply systems in several states aka Salt Typhoon March 2024.

Do you set it up as one network name and it roams between channels? How does that work if you need to exclusively connect a 2.4ghz like a light?

The ones at Costco are BE11000 and claim they can go to 11Gbps

Me too.
I have an Orbi RBK50. My only complaint about Orbi is that there's a distinction between routers and satellites. So, I'd need to buy satellites if I want to expand or address dead spots, which cost an arm or a leg. I did flash a few routers into satellites, but that would void the warranty.
I have my eyes on the Asus BQ16/Pro, which is ~$450 per unit (slightly less than an Orbi equivalent). I like Asus' setup because there's no distinction between routers and satellites. However, many reviews complain about their firmware issues. I don't want to drop $2000+ and deal with technical problems.
Good plan - I don't recommend buying any ASUS WiFi 7 stuff right now. Too new and ASUS needs time to work out the bugs. I am using an Asus ZenWiFi XT8 and for the first year or so it was problematic (frequent mesh node disconnections was most disruptive). Runs very well now, have had them about 3 years.

I may consider WiFi 7 in a couple of years. Right now WiFi 6 mesh is fast enough for me.

Meh, Ubiquiti on a product to product basis gets beat out constantly in price and performance, they are for people with too much time on their hands who like to take their work home with them. If you were to get the BE10000 for $335, you would need to spend almost $700 to get something even close to equivalent in performance from Ubiquiti....
TP-Link is easy to set up but there isn't a lot of configurability. That is fine if you just want a simple wireless network, but for those interested in more settings, adding multiple guest networks, having full control over the setup with a router webpage (instead of just a barebones phone app) then I think Ubiquiti and ASUS offer more...

not much of an upgrade from from my wifi4 system, most of my IOTs are old. got the 2 pack of this model. range on these is horrible. every step further from the router we can see the slowness. at least for me it is giving a horrible performance. my wyze camera outside the house are always stuck. cant penetrate through the walls.
WiFi 4!! Wow. Getting your money's worth out of that system! Any concern about security updates for that system?

Which ASUS system did you upgrade from? I'm curious which one caused issues.

XT9. Constantly had sync issues, various bands would stop working, had it set to reboot every 24 hours and it still frequently had issues. I'd say every 3 or 4 days I'd have to manually cycle them. Sometimes more than once. It was a huge pain. This was on the latest firmware. Worse, because of how I wanted to do my mesh I couldn't use the second as a wired back haul because of a completely separate issue. Because I had some other setting enabled (can't recall which) the wired backhaul was greyed out. I needed both. It was insanely frustrating, and it feels like they were only solid for the first month or so I had them. It was a terrible experience. Struggled with them for about a year. The TP link system has been in for 3-4 months and has been absolutely rock solid with one wired satellite and one wireless. It just works. It's less configurable, has fewer reporting options and stuff, but honestly I'm totally fine giving that stuff up for stability and reliability. My only real concern is the issue with TP link and the US government, but I suspect functionality going forward will be fine.
