I picked them up after using the 5400s for a few years before lighting storm fried them. Costco took them back and I upgraded to these.
Reason I picked this is all ports are 2.5Gbps compared to say the 75x pros which only have 1 2.5gbps port.
So far no issues.

I absolutely hate defending corporations but the annual fee is absolutely not to account for the "hustlers" who think they're 300D Chess big brain geniuses.
Amazon used to have a generous return policy and accepted returns for nearly any reason. It sure as hell was not because of the Prime fee. Guess what happened? People abused the return policy like crazy, with forums like this and the r/frugal subreddit glorifying that type of behavior and now Amazon is significantly tougher on returns.
Same goes with Costco membership sharing, r/frugal and social media went nuts over it as some type of genius "lifehack" and now we got scanners and employees at every entrance.
At the end of the day, companies do not charge fees so that customers can mentally justify all types of shady behavior. Many times, companies like Costco basically only make a profit from the membership fee and a few high margin items.
Ultimately, who gets hurt most from the unethical behavior of a small group of people trying the "hustler mentality" are other customers. The companies will simply pass on the costs. No way in hell will corporations simply eat the cost because of "make_moneys" financial genius lmfao
Edit: on the topic of this Wi-Fi system, regardless of what one thinks personally of Chinese politics or the security of this company's devices (or lack thereof), the risk is that with an administration that is very hostile to China, the company would get banned or blacklisted in the US. Under Biden, TP-link was already being considered as a trheat. Even without an outright ban, if the government moves against TP-link then these devices could quickly become unsupported if the company deems it not worth doing business.
Claiming you are unhappy after using a product for 3 years is just plain dishonest.
If you can live with yourself being dishonest like that, that is on you, but some people believe in karma.
Like others have said, people like you abusing the policy will lead to it being changed.
First off I'm not the person returning the 3yo router second I don't condone scams but you're not understanding the point which is that you pay for a service to receive certain benefits . That's the point . Do some folks abuse it ? Sure .there will always be those folks
"Satisfaction guaranteed" does not mean the return of items that were destroyed through natural disasters nor does it include someone using a router for 3 years and returning it to buy a newer model.
Those were the only cases of returns mentioned in this thread. For you to respond with "you are paying for this service" and then to disregard these exact examples is simply arguing in bad faith or trolling.

Im disregarding the 3yo router return because it was a scam . It's completely irrelevant to everything we are discussing . The main point here is hey is it worth buying from Costco vs Amazon ? Yes I said now 3 times if it breaks you can return it and you have a higher return period. You pay a fee for this privilege . That's why it's worth buying from Costco vs Amazon but you pay more so up to the buyer to decide what's worth more
Does that make sense to you ? Where in all of this did I mention - yeah bro Costco is worth cause u can break things and return them years later lol . Ofc that's not acceptable you assumed that's what I meant . Isn't this thread about a router sold by Amazon ? Let's focus on that . Clearly this is a difficult topic for some folks here
I have the same and I feel right now it is not. Maybe wait a year or two as wifi 7 becomes a bigger thing and prices go further down

It really all depends on the structure of your home and location of the wifi. You might be able to get away with one unit. I have walls made of cinder block and it literally drops the service to just feet so I require more pods to cover all possible spots. How has your older wifi worked out? Should give you a good indication
