Tempting, but my local Ace looks at me like I came from another planet every time I've tried to use a digital gift card at the register so I've had to stick to using them online only.
Happened to me yesterday. Tried to use an egift card from this deal and the cashier told me I needed to load the egift card onto a physical card, had me grab one from the rack and then he thought about it and realized that made no sense. He called over another employee who tookover but he also needed to call a supervisor who wasn't on shift who told him he needed to press a few buttons to bring up the right screen to enter the card info, from there it was simple. I stacked it with a $20 off $100 coupon Ace sent me so it was worth the hassle for me.

Anyone else having problems with their card's activation? I got the email about 3-4 hours after purchase and it all looks correct. It appears I was charged successfully. At my local Ace they ran it like any other gift card but it gave an error about there being no balance. When I use the Ace gift card checker page I get an error: " Error Occurred
Unable to verify the card balance at this time."

If you really want to blow their minds, print it out on the card and turn the code into a barcode so they can easily scan the code instead of typing it in. Their brains short circuit and shut down.

Ace are generally locally owned and as much as I would like using them, their prices are generally higher than HD/Lowes. Anyone else noticed the same?
