Sensor mode is the dumbest feature on all these cheap rechargeables. It's on by default and if you don't like it, you need to turn it off every time you use these things. No I don't want the light turned off when I'm working on something and my hand passes near the sensor...so idiotic.

FYI these are nice and bright, but they have terrible battery life. I have a ~$30 headlamp that I can use for almost a week camping before charging. These I have to charge every day, sometimes even before the night is through. They also self discharge pretty quickly. I still have a bunch that I throw places as backups, but I wouldn't bring them camping.

I'm sure there's an application for these, but rechargeable headlamps don't make sense to me. I'm either using it in the field where I need to be able to swap batteries when I run out of charge, or I'm using it while working on a project and need to swap batteries when I run out of charge.

IMO, not a ton of utility in a headlamp that makes you stop what you're doing to recharge for an hour

I got these last time they were on sale and they're worth every penny. Leave one in the truck charging while the other is in use. Very bright but it has an option for dimmer/ wider spread. I had to do some cat6 runs and terminate in the middle of the night the day after I got these. Saved my butt. I had my coworker asking borrow one mid way through the shift.

I am pretty much all in on rechargeable headlamps from here on out, but stick with something that has a runtime that matches your needs.

It's a two pack. Have one charging while using the other, then swap.

No experience with this exact item, but I have no problem with rechargable headlamps in general.

I use a headlamp almost daily, or I guess I should say nightly.
I would not buy one that isn't rechargeable.

Probably why they give you two so you can always be charging one. But yeah weird product for working

Agree 100%, I have one that I use for night fishing and it's so annoying with it constantly turning off

They probably self-discharge quickly because the motion sensor is constantly drawing power in stand by mode,

Can the motion sensor be turned off so the head lamps works manually/normally?

I have some chinese headlamps powered by 18650 and that's probably the best compromise IMO.

FYI, the left power button turns on the hand motion sensor. The right power button turns on the lamp without the hand motion sensor. I actually bought a bunch of these and they are pretty bright work great for me. If you need long lasting, buy one that uses a 18650 cell that's you can replace. These are great for it's intended purpose of just casual night walks or other short duration usage.

Not all sensors are on by default. I have some that are not.
And a nice feature of the ones I have, it will turn directly off after being used for a time, without cycling through the other 4 modes first.
