As others have mentioned before, the better Adidas deals recently often appear on eBay or ShopSimon, making it harder to use these gift cards most effectively. Could be intentional on the part of Adidas.

I've had no issues using Adidas GCs in the past couple years. I always buy the eGifter deals where you get $15 bonus when purchasing $35 G/C (so essentially 30% off since you're paying $35 for $50) and never had any issues redeeming them. Do note that there's a max 5 gift card limit per order for Adidas.

Can't comment on the issues others mentioned here but I just read that adidas plans to raise prices because of the new tariffs so that would make this an even better deal if you know you'll use it later.

Ive never had an issue paying gift card on a site and getting CB with a R* link, or any CB site. Gift cards are treated the same as cash. It is rewards codes that affect the purchase amount, e.g. Best Buy rewards.
