It can end up being pretty slick in the right circumstances. I usually only order from places that have BOGO or spend a certain amount and get certain item free. Those deals stack w/ the % off offers that are YMMV based on how often you use the service. Combine that w/ GCs 25% off and it can end up being far less than directly purchasing from the restaurant even w/ a decent tip.

Beware, Uber is terrible with giving refunds if your order should have an issue

If you have Uber One, the fees are usually very small. Small enough that it's never worth me spending my time and gas driving to save. With the 25% off GCs, 2% credit from Costco Executive, $1.50 worth of airline points for clicking through a portal, Delta miles earned through the new partnership, and the abundant promo codes or BOGOs, I end up paying far less to have my food delivered from restaurants, groceries from Costco, etc than I would without Uber Eats. That's even after factoring in the markup placed on some restaurants (Costco is 8%) and the tips I give.
What is the clicking through a portal?

When using the portal, doesn't it have to be for new customers? Do you do it in app or browser extension? Never tracks for me

You got refund from online customer service or from a local warehouse?

I only bought two in one order. That was the first GC order I've placed in month. They canceled it.
Same for me.

There wasn't one. It just said to check my account and my payments. But my payment was authorized by my bank. Also, I know that they sometimes cancel these if you order again too quickly (less than 14 days.) But I haven't bought any Uber gift cards in many months.
Had the same issue tried 3 times before throwing in the towel. No one else on my membership but me and haven't bought one of these in 2 months or so.

Uber Eats has definitely gotten more stingy with promo codes and deal stacking but it's hard to just pass on $25 free. Never know when you need an Uber or some impromptu delivery . . .this helps offset those costs.

Looks like a great deal but seems one has to jump hoops, combine with other discounts, and hop on one leg on a Tuesday while it's raining in order to actually benefit from the deal.

I have never used UE, but was going to purchase to use for Uber Rides but I see people saying that Uber raises the ride prices when having GC added to account. So sounds like it's a great deal during a perfect storm and all the stars are aligned 🤷 ♂️

If you get liquor through uber eats at your location, this is a great option to get cheap liquor. Sometimes the stores have some deals which sweetens the deal. Do pick up to make it slick Smilie.

Does not work via the app. Must do via the web. Most Cashback/miles back portals pay only for new customers. One of the airlines gives a lesser amount of miles (100) for repeat customers.
