if the 1024Wh is only $350is it really worth $20 saving to buy a single 2048Wh vs 2X 1024Wh?I think not?you get double the electronics backup in case one fails

Only in theory. The Delta2Max is a vastly better machine. I have both, and the D2 is comparatively noisy and inefficient. It runs much warmer and can't handle large loads for a long time. For back up, yeah two units is more versatile, but the D2M is a particularly well made unit.

My Delta2 is ok for occasional use, but I found out the hard way that it can't handle pass through backup very well. The D2M and all D3 models can serve as uninterrupted power supplies, but the Delta 2 can only handle that for a few weeks before it errors/dies and needs warranty work.

Both have their place, but I use the D2M as my primary backup and daily use machine.

So not a great deal if the batteries are in poor condition?

Probably C grade batteries, refurb prolly to justify a much shorter warranty.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe their refurbs get the full 5yr warranty and the 2yr warranty is from ebay themselves or rather Allstates.

I picked up one of these the last time I saw it on Slickdeals, and ended up paying $759+tax on that occasion.

If I needed another one of these right now, I'd not hesitate. It's been working quite well, so far.

Technically this is the current 2kw model. EcoFlow has released a new delta (1kw) and new delta pro (4kw) model in last year, but nothing new in the delta max line. Of course I'm not sure why any of that matters. And regardless of being current or not, it's been on the market a few years.

Waiting for these to hit $400-500. I may be waiting another year or so, but it seems prices on all these things have been quickly trending down. I'd have been upset if I bought one 3 years ago when the average price was way higher.

I just used this for the first time for s scheduled power outage and it ran my two fridges for 2.75 hours. Both full size LG fridges 27 cu ft and 30 cu ft. Just for reference.

It's way way more than just capacity.

It's features, noise, heat, efficiency, capacity, solar input and inverter output.

All have been considerably upgraded on this unit.

It's not just worth it, it's way worth it when you need even one of those upgrades.

Have a power tool to run like a job site saw?

Well if the smaller units won't run it, doesn't matter if you have 8 more, no number of backups will solve the problem.

Personally I'd recommend the Delta 3 Plus if you want the smaller capacity, lower cost and lower weight.

It still has all the features and a bigger inverter just less capacity and a slightly lower inverter output.

I use the D3+ for portable power, electric savings, etc but got the D2M for when I want 2x capacity with just one thing to transport or need the higher output.

Two smaller units will take up nearly 2x the space as one of these as well, pretty big deal.

The one task the D3+ wins is UPS mode of 15ms

No. That's going to need 240v. Even if it did, it would drain incredibly quickly

Decent chance these will go up in price in the near term with the current tariff climate
