They have same power and options. Just the shape and speaker ports are different. Online reviews say the Encore Essential has better bass because of the larger rear port. They sound great in my garage gym. At this price you can't go wrong with either one. It's just your preference on size and shape of the box the Encore Essential is a little tall but I don't mind.

thats a steal the 2 mic version bonus goes for like 300+ , thanks tho will prob just get the on the go just for the voice EQ

You got a good deal if it was the Encore not Encore Essential. The Encore has a longer battery life as well (10hr), vs this at 6hrs.
