Not sure you'll need a lot of storage space if you do the one things these sticks are most best at.

I prefer AppleTV, but I also needed one of these to watch Blu-Ray rips with full surround sound. I use my AppleTV for everything else, but AppleTV does not support Dolby TrueHD or DTS-X. You can set up Kodi on these, and they play Blu-Ray rips great. The previous version of the Fires Stick Max did not support Dolby TrueHD or DTS-X. You need the newest version. Although it has nothing to do with supporting Dolby TrueHD or DTS-X, you can distinguish the newest version of the Fire Stick Max because it also supports Wifi-Fi 6E.

Will not buy a fire tv stick. Bought 3 in the past decade, bloatware slowed down the system significantly over the years and became unusable, despite turning off all the settings. Switched to Google TV, zero issues 3 years now.

I recommend the new Onn 4K Plus over this. Same price, better performance and it uses Google TV. Amazon is switching to their own OS soon.

Not sure but I am so tired of these sticks. They seem to be made of flimsy plastic. The back comes off so easily, exposing the batteries. Worst part is: it hogs batteries like crazy (replace every 2 weeks)and after a while the voice command doesn't work anymore. I have a Xfinity streaming device and remote and that is so much more sturdy and batteries go for a year or 2. Anybody else with the same experience?

I believe you are talking about the remote. Yes, the back comes off easily. You need to buy a remote case like the below. I realized this after breaking my first two. why not have both, each has it's strengths.. except the Onn costs more. I do like the smooth chromecasting on the ONN though, which makes up for the lack of apps. Like Samsung TV Plus streams nicely from my tablets.

I swear I never these "select acct" deals available to me. I have three 4k sticks and one 4k max under my acct (gifts for family for xmas), you'd think they'd want to incentivize me to get more max's. I ended up getting a max a while back just for Moonlight/Sunshine (or rather Apollo/Artemis) -- wasn't really worth the moola, but ehh all good.
