Go to Amazon and read the most recently review, which is mine. You can see how crappy this ratchet is from the pictures I uploaded. The upshot is that the head is super floppy, won't stay at a position at all. That is new from box. Given a couple of month's use, it will get really annoying. There is a reason this one is on sale all the time. It is this way by design, look how many threads are exposed right there.
Harbor Freight only sells the small sets of the 1/2" versions (That's 10-24mm for the metrics)
Home Depot quit selling the Husky labeled version.
Yes HF has a cheaper price per socket. I initially bought those but later opted to get the more complete sets from Astro as they had quite reasonable prices.

What is this? A ratchet for giANTS?!

Any if you read the recent 10 reviews, at least three others say the same. This thing is hot garage at MSRP. At $25, if someone really wants it, maybe it is okay. I will return it right away.

Maybe you can look my my pictures on Amazon and write a review yourself together with some pictures. I am also surprised how can Astro screws up so badly. Maybe yours a bit better in that the screw goes deeper with a lot of locktite? But I think the issue is by design. If you use yours for a while it will get loose. Much better to have a ratchet with some built-in feature to hold the head in some positions.

Just saw your Amazon pictures. The screw on mine arrived the same way, but I realized the screw hadn't been seated fully. I used a 4mm (I think) Allen wrench; then the screw seated fully. No visible threads.
But that didn't solve the loose flex head. The problem is with the compression spring. I emailed Astro, and they said they don't sell replacement springs, but offered to replacement my wrench per warranty.
I may do that, but I haven't given up yet. I created two or three small paper washers out of card stock and placed them behind the compression spring, then reassembled the wrench. (Got the idea from YouTube.) The flex head is much stiffer! It's not an ideal solution, but it will do until I experiment with new compression springs (about 8mm OD). But if I can't find a more permanent fix, I will warranty the wrench and hope for the best.

I got mine a week ago and it's also floppy. I thought it was strange so I tried to tighten the screw without removing the tool from the plastic... I tightened it as much as possible without risking stripping it, and the head still feels too loose. I guess it's a crapshoot but it explains the sale.
