Yes, Nintendo has stated that Nintendo Switch 1 controllers, including this, the Pro Controller and Joy-Cons, will generally be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2. However, there may be some exceptions, particularly with features unique to the Switch 2's Joy-Cons 2, such as mouse controls. Additionally, some accessories like the Ring-Con and Leg Strap, used with Ring Fit Adventure, will require the original Joy-Cons, not the Switch 2's.

I think I prefer wired controllers. No batteries to change, and lower input lag. They are a trip hazard though

If you're getting a cheap third party controller, might as well try to get one with turbo.

i think i got this for $5 at a best buy before. definitely not quality controllers.

I've had these PowerA controllers before and always get drift issues at about the 1 year mark. Just fyi.

They have a 2 year warranty so if they start drifting in a year contact support and get a free replacement. I've only had one die on me so far but it was a pretty easy replacement process.
