Eg. Meta's latest AI app wants to suck up every last secret from your phone with a dizzying list of permissions, yet others like Anthropic want just a handful.
....
Anyways, free Gemini isn't "amazing" unless you're pushing thru books upon books and really trying to graduate with a d.u.n.c.e degree by making AI do all your homework.
Easy enough to sign up to the main ones - perplexity, grok, anthropic, DeepSeek, and use it with the free CoPilot on Windows and Edge.
This is because Not one AI always gets it right, so using a few is the way to shortcut work with correct answers.
I dare you. "Using the wholesale bulk prices of rice and orange chicken for restaurants, calculate the cost of goods for a plate of 11 oz of rice and 6 oz of orange chicken." You'll immediately see which AI are "idiots" doing this simple work task.... Most can't even identify bulk packages of frozen orange chicken for food service....
What do you want?
I use it for writing short code for my home tech lab and for troubleshooting different things. via: https://aistudio.google

It's on the right side of like every single google thing and I don't like that.
The advanced subscription is worth it at 20 bucks/month, but there are better options- you cannot beat Free though! Huge advantage as I found the "free" gemini to be lacking.
