Not sure I'd call it a deal, but I suppose it is. They turned off in-app purchases and game currencies and just put it all out there.
This also applies to the Android and iPhone versions.

Seems to be a Star Wars-flavoured F2P battle royale, so not surprised to learn it didn't last long. Some of those character designs look fun
