I feel like this is a solid deal. We're you able to find the LPDDR5 ram speed?

It says "up to 7500mhz" on the Asus website.

No offense to the OP, or any lucky Asus fans, but FYI / FWIW - Here's my 4/16/2025, Asus Vivobook S 15 review on Best Buy:

I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death. Averaging about 5+ per day!
The Geek Squad "FIXED it" THREE times, but shortly after I got it home, same thing, BSOD!
Sent it into the Asus service center, & when I got it back 15 days later, got BSOD twice within 4-min.
They said the warranty does NOT include any replacements or refunds.

I will never buy another Asus product.
And I will also avoid buying anything from Best Buy.

PS - This is the one I bought:

.

April 25 EDIT: I talked to the Best Buy store manager yesterday, hoping that they could step up & help a loyal customer out. Nope! But he did take this opportunity to tell me that I should have bought their ($180) Total membership plan (within 1 or 2 weeks of purchase), so that I **might** have been eligible to have gotten store credit or exchange.
No, I don't think I will.

PS - Asus has a D- rating at the Better Business Bureau - Failure to respond to 83 complaint(s) filed against business

Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 or Intel Ultra 7 258V for battery life and college workload? I will be majoring in data science/stats next year and looking for a good laptop

$100 higher than the previous best, but that's probably the 100 across the board Asus threw on US pricing after the tariffs.

It's worth noting the picture for this still appears to be wrong: the S15 is the one with the chin, where the S16 has no chin.

You gotta be an HP or Dell rep or something man… you've posted this on like 4 different Asus laptop posts. Sucks you got a crap one but they do have return policies. Stress test and return if they break

I've been using my old Dell for the last 2 months, because the POS Asus is getting serviced for the FIFTH Time!
Are you reading my whole comment? Asus is the one who said NO REFUND, NO REPLACEMENT, UNTIL They Deem it UNFIXABLE.But they won't tell me when that will be.

PS - Before my Dell, I had an HP for a long time. But both were crappy enough that I tried to buy another brand. Get it?!
Wake up, EIGHTY-THREE Asus COMPLAINTS at BBB ! It's Not Just ME.

I got one over the holidays, and have been very satisfied. Setting the cooling mode to "whisper" makes the whistling fan noise much more tolerable during heavy tasks. The only niggling issue is it sometimes turns back on shortly after turning off, and I haven't tracked down the cause yet. Feels like I haven't seen it happen in a while though, so maybe one of the updates fixed it

One BIOS update [reddit.com] messed with some people's stability and got rolled back for a while, but it seemed fine on my unit.

The one you got is this same one with 370hx? What do you do with it. I'm a dev and wondering how it will work with my workflow, using Linux, vscode, docker. I'm worried it will overheat or slowdown. Thx!
