This was $849 at Microcenter in March. But lowest price otherwise, and haven't seen it below $900 since.

Nice 24GB / 512GB.

I'd still use my M4 base 16GB/256GB for $500 (EDU price).

24GB is a pretty damn powerful machine but I barely use my 24GB Pro14 to the max as it is!!!! I love the M4 cpu speed though, everything is so snappy.

Can someone confirm if the Studio can have RAM upgraded or if it's soldered to the board?

I got lucky with placing microcenter open box order, they gave me a brand new one as they couldn't find the open box item, paid 809+tax

Every single m core is ram soldered to the CPU, impossible to upgrade unless change cpu, which is non sense

This is a good price but base M4 went as low as 450. Maybe at 700-750 but not happening anytime soon.

This does have upgradeable SSD. I got a base model and upgraded to 2TB for under 650 total. You do need to buy a special SSD rather than any off the shelf one.

Bought an enclosure and a 2tb nvme SSD for around $200. Though OS isn't installed on it. Can run VM off it from VMware and it's thunderbolt 4

Cant beat $500 base price. It seems, it is more economical to save and upgrade after a year with another base model.

Ram might be worth an upgrade but paying for storage is pointless

My base M4 mini does everything I need and it was much cheaper to just add a 4TB NVME through an OWC Thunderbolt dock than to pay the Apple upgrade prices.

No, I don't think its their games, they're just saying "This is our price, its premium" whether we think so or not
