If you are interested in using this as a pizza steel, note that it is only 1/8" thick. People generally recommend 3/8" minimum, 1/2" recommended for a pizza steel.

Just wait until that grease drips off the sides of this into the flames.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Vs pooling then river of grease directly into the fire. But feel free to play around with it if you'd like to.

Found this on clearance awhile back for much less. I've only used it a couple of times. If I put cold meat on it, it warps. If I try to clean it with hot water it warps. Both might be my fault but read up on griddles and thermal shock if you are going to try using one...

What's the point of a glorified cast iron pan?

This is a steel. Made of typical carbon steel, which is night vs day different than cast iron, or anything made of cast iron.

I've had a Stanbroil brand stainless griddle pan (weber spirit model) on my grill for four years and use it more than the grates. It's the same thickness and not as wide, but has walls on 3 sides which has probably why it has never warped. I occasionally clean it by de-glazing with room temperature water. The grease runs out the front of the pan then down the inside front wall of the grill oven. The dripping grease has never cause a flare up. Burgers are way juicier than when cooked over the grates. Steaks get a nice sear. I make stir-fry on it. Although it takes up almost half the grill area, it feels somewhat small when cooking for more than two.

Anything better and bigger? I want to make eggs/pizza/etc on my Weber 310 and I don't want two different grills.

So many 1-star reviews complaining of carbon steel doing what it does when not properly maintained and seasoned.🤣

I was thinking the same when I saw bacon.
