Price dropped further from $349 to $299. at the new price, it's worth picking one up since this one even competes with gas-powered trimmers. Also got top place on project farm.

This kit comes with the trimmer, 2x 8.0 HO batteries and a dual rapid charger.

Deal is in store only and can see the local price when selecting the clearance tag on the product page.

Imo, this thing is ludicrous overkill for the average person's string trimming needs. Finally getting down to a more reasonable price, though.

This is not QuikLok and it is the dual battery version. Not at all the same.

My local HD had three of these listed at $349 for the longest time. I kept an eye on them to see if they would come down in price. Than one day all three were gone. Went to the store to see if it was a mistake only to see one unit still locked up. Asked a rep to scan the price. He checked on his device and said the device listed it out of stock. I'm like how can it be out of stock if we are looking directly at it. He called the manager and after a bit of his own research he said the price was still $349 but the trimmer still showed out of stock. I asked if he could sell it and he said yes. I offered him $200 (since it was not in stock) he countered at $300 and we settled at $250. Batteries alone cost more than $250. This thing is a beast.

They're continuing to push out the old bundled boxes with HO batteries to replace inventory with the Forge batteries. Great deal at this price point.

Does this one overheat constantly like the regular fuel 18v quik-lok model

I grabbed one from my local store. If nothing else, two batteries are worth it, even if they aren't the latest and greatest.

Overheat? Admittedly, I have a small yard, however mine has never overheated. Is that common for most users?

I bought this last week for $314. People are trying to get $500-600 for this on marketplace. lol

one thing that I do not like about this trimmer is that you are required to have 2 batteries installed, it will not work with just one. And if one dies, the trimmer will stop even if the 2nd battery is fully charged

There are a lot of reviews about it...I've had 2 of the trimmers and both had overheat issues. Bought my 2nd last year and it had same issue as the first. I have about an acre. Only happens on hot days.

Sold my beloved stihl pole saw for the m18 version. Has twice the horsepower of my stihl and since it's used seldom, no concerns with gas clogging the carb. The new dual battery M18's are running in series now to make 36V, that's why they don't work with just one. Massive horsepower and torque.
