i had noticed that too. on Womier's website they call it a Glass External Weight.. i'm not familiar so someone may correct me but Google says it adds stability from shifting or wobbling while typing and can enhance the sound profile of the keyboard

Yes, adding a weight on a mechanical keyboard adds stability and can also change the sound profile. These weights can be internal (so usually not visible) or external (for looks, especially when there's a design machined on it). Weights can be made out of stainless steel, brass, copper, etc. -- something heavier than the rest of the case material.

Good deal. Womier keyboards are well built and already sound pretty good stock. This SK75 seems to use a custom linear POM switch, which looks like built by TTC, whose POM linears are very good imho

Heads up, you don't get full QMK support here since Womier hasn't released the source code.
They are violating QMK's open source license, more info here: https://docs.qmk.fm/license_violations
You can do quite a bit with VIA, but much more by modifying the QMK firmware itself.
More details available here: https://docs.keeb.io/via-technical

Picked one up after years of abstaining mechanical keyboard upgrades. It's remarkable how advanced this one is. First the weight is solid about 3+ lbs. It feels like a solid block of metal. Keys are very responsive and linear, with a solid thock . It's a completely revised feel coming from earlier boards with clacky cherry keys and reverberating boards.

VIA is pretty advanced will full programmability through a browser tab. no sketchy chinese spyware to install.

RGB is excellent with great resolution, intensity and saturation.

10/10 I'm glad I endulged and I think it's time to dump nearly all of my others in favor of this one.
