When Energizer sends a shipment of these to be resold, Amazon essentially throws it into the "4-Count Energizer CR2032 3V Lithium Coin Cell Battery" bin, where it gets mixed with all of the counterfeits other vendors sent them.
Evidently, it's cheaper for Amazon to return \ refund customers that complain than it is to properly track and manage their inventory.

My only trepidation is that these have the child-safe coating and some electronics are sensitive to that - AirTags come to mind. Duracell had to re-work their coatings and sell these advertising them as "Compatible with AirTags".

At first we all had a slight chance at getting counterfeit batteries but as more and more vendors counterfeit the odds of getting a counterfeit increase. My last Energizer batteries I ordered from Amazon I believe we're counterfeit because the colors were not as vibrant as the originals. I believe there's a YouTube video explaining what I just said maybe Google. Amazon toothpaste counterfeit.
