I paid $10 for lunch 2 years ago so I don't eat lunch anymore cause it's not a deal
What he said. 24 is a good depth for a workbench. As much as a fan of HFT I am. They are at 18 or 20. That extra 4 inches makes a difference...ask your wife.

This is about $200 off the price for the other Husky 52" Standard Duty Rolling Tool Chest. Husky has a few levels of tool boxes. They have a heavy duty and regular duty. The Standard Duty boxes are probably fine boxes for homeowners, DIYers, and anyone that doesn't currently, or plans to acquire, a massive socket drawer. Comparing these Husky boxes to the US General boxes is an apples and oranges comparison. They both have similar storage volume, but the US General boxes far exceeds the Husky when it comes to weight capacity. If I could get one of these in another color at this price, I'd probably pick one up.

If you are in no rush, I'd suggest waiting until it gets closer to Father's Day as there may be better sale pricing.

I should've included in the original post that it's closer to a luke warm deal vs. some fire sale clearance ymmv. Limited stock more to do with the special colorization. These chests have historically dipped down to this 498$ price during holiday sales. Price per cubic ft of storage is decent however if you looking for more serious options I'd suggest a top+bottom chest config and in the heavy duty gauge if you can afford. Those typically go on sale for 800-900 if you're patient. But be aware they are heavy !!

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this beast. I really believe this was a pricing error. All of the other 52" Standard Duty Husky toolboxes are currently at $700.00. This is nearly a 30% discount. Also, when searching the home depot app, I entered Army Green, and it pulled up the 42" version of this box, also at $498.00. That leads me to believe this price was just incorrect. I had been eyeballing tool boxes, but was holding out until I could get a decent deal. However, I also had to consider the tariffs. The large retailers have just been burning through their pre tariff inventory hoping that the tariffs get lifted. The longer this BS drags on, the lower the inventories will dive. When that happens, forget about sales. It'll be like the car market right after Covid. I fully expect to see "Marget Adjustments" once domestic inventories become low. Even if the tariffs are reversed, the logistics chains will take weeks if not months to be restored, and during this time, a lot of small independent business will fail. At least I'm getting a new toolbox for the tariffpocolypse.

When I clicked the link, it took me to the 52" tool chest. Are some of you being directed to the 42" tool chest? I bet that might be where the disconnect lies. Or does the 52" tool chests go significantly lower during a holiday sale?

I payed $325 for mine two years ago but it was Home Depot's mistake because they priced it wrong.

Agree, not a horrible deal if you are in the market, not a spontaneous purchase point at all. a lot of people hate on timeline posts like yours but then are the ones to complain when the price drops in 10 days after they purchased. Most likely the people down voting your comment are ones who purchased it trying to justify the amount. I can still pay for lunch for $10 sometimes $8. 😂

It's a fully assembled, heavy widowmaker. I have 2 in my garage and they don't appear easy to take apart
Can confirm they are widow makers. Tried taking one off a uhaul by myself, jumped on and went for a ride instead*

I miss the days when a 5 star deal was extreme YMMV and actually a BIG discount. I got TWO 46" bottom and top chest combos for $75 each back in the day.

I've been looking for a good Workbench for my shop, and every review I have seen shows how much better the ones at Harbor Freight are built compared to the offerings from Lowe's and Home Depot. US General is definitely well built, but this one he took apart the Yukon and showed why it was superior. Now, this color is definitely cool, but you can pick up a black Yukon for $279 if you are a rewards member at Harbor Freight, or $349 for the one with more drawers.
Has anyone seen any updated videos with a complete disassembly? Perhaps things have changed?

I think those reviews you are referring to are for some other Husky product. Go see these in person and you'll see that this workbench blows away the Yukon in size and quality.
