Yeah. If there is a fire hazard, visible, motorola and t-mobile would not be still selling them.
Total Wireless is also still selling them.

Yep. Almost 100% someone at TW messed up and they are scrambling to figure out how to fix it. If it was serious those others wouldn't still be selling and delivering, TW wouldn't still be selling, and people's orders wouldn't still remain open (but not shipped) who haven't shipped yet.

Is anyone who ordered from a Verizon-owned MVNO actually receiving their phones though? Besides the few who got them early Friday morning before the mass return request happened?

They don't ship orders on weekends (or that quickly).

What I'm trying to say is I don't believe these phones caught on fire because if they did other companies would be recalling them also along with Motorola. Maybe one phone got extremely hot from being plugged in and running some type of video loop and some millennial freaked out and made a big deal out of it. I don't know I'm just saying it's probably overblown.
I think what makes sense right now is that Verizon is claiming there is a fire hazard with the phones and they are probably arguing with Motorola about that. None of the other companies are privy to this, at least officially, and therefore continue to sell the phone.
As for Motorola itself, it doesn't seem like anyone who is receiving phones from them since Friday morning. Just look in the /r/Razr subreddit. Everyone who received a phone got it from Bestbuy/Amazon or received it Friday morning (https://www.reddit.com/r/razr/com...y_waiting/).

Doesn't sound like anyone ordering directly from Motorola is getting their phones either: https://www.reddit.com/r/razr/com...led_today/

Are we assuming the Ultra is the same as this phone? I'd imagine they are built very differently and one wouldn't affect the other.

Chargeback on your CC. They're violating the law and you'll get your money back.
CC Charging back is a bad practice unless absolutely necessary. There are other ways to resolve.. I wouldn't do it for a mere A35 phone

Well, we have an article about this now and latest update is Verizon still plans on shipping. I highly doubt they'll reship our phones and we'll probably have to reorder these if we still want them after this fiasco.

I would advise anyone thinking about buying this phone from TW to wait. See what happens to All the people that are having problems with delivery. Then make a decision based on results . Everybody I talk to at CS has no idea. You don't want to be stuck with a credit card charge an no phone. I just got my CC bill with amount of phone on it and I have no phone
I will update this tomorrow to let you know what is happening then

I am one of the few who got the phone delivered even after the return to sender fiasco. I went through the messy activation/porting process for 2 days before I finally have a usable phone (did it all via chat). They were able to activate it without porting (which doesn't matter to me since it's not my main number) which makes me think I might have unlocking problems later on. I did login to my account in the TW site and the new number does correctly display my device's imei number so hopefully it registers that it was activated and unlocks after 60 days.
Anyway, the phone appears to be working fine. I even got a software update earlier today. It doesn't feel hot (even during setup). I've charged it overnight using wired and wireless, and did not have any issues.
I'll keep observing it and update this thread if anything comes up. Hopefully it doesn't catch fire lol

The android police article is no longer available. I am not sure what to make of all this. Have they removed the article because it is based on baseless rumors or isolated issues?

My phone is delivered to me but it is still in the box and not opened. Can I return it for a full refund if needed?
