I have this model, purchased from Amazon a couple years ago. No issues with the actual pod itself but eventually the o ring between the drain tube and the spigot used to control drain flow eventually dried out and stopped working. Just had to buy some new o rings from local home improvement store to swap it out, good as new.

I'm a 6'1" 210 lb male and it's definitely a tight fit and you'll have to use a lot of ice each time in order to actually get it down to a low enough temp that your body won't warm up the water immediately, but for this cheap I'd say it's a solid way to try out cold plunges and see if they're for you. I'll generally fill it up about 60% of the way and then put 2 bags of ice (20lbs each, 40 total) which will bring it up to nearly 3/4 full, and once I'm in it'll be almost completely full, can get the water up to my neck/chin but I have to sit criss cross applesauce and my knees are touching the sides generally.
Didn't you learn in science class that cold things shrink?
30 inches tall and wide doesn't seem to match the pictures of a full grown man sitting up to his chin comfortably in this.

It's the full size. Problem is this unit leaks at the bottom and water gets trapped. You'll get possibly 6-8 uses max before having to throw it out.

You speaking just from Internet knowledge?

Actually tried ice baths? What's your experience?

My experience is an outlier as I have poor circulation and start to change colors in the 50's. I've done a polar plunge and they walk you through the risks(which are usually minimal due to the cold water and cold air temp)

Go from hot to cold back to hot...it'll help circulation

We had a pool/spa built several years ago and in the winter me and my kids go from the hot tub to maybe sub 20/30/40 in the pool for a mins then back into the hot tub 100-103 degrees. Never experienced shock just an invigorating tingle like pins/needles all over the body once you hop back in the spa.

I built my own. Too much to go into, but I get mine to around 40-46 for 15 minutes. I can't do toes or fingers (I guess old injuries). This would not work for me.

My brother bought a 7 foot long freezer and put it in his garage. Sealed it with caulk added a pump and would keep it at 31 degrees. The pump would keep it from freezing. He could last 4 minutes in it. And he would always have his wife come out to watch to make sure nothing catastrophic would happen because he would try to push his time in it to the max.
