There should be some law that if you signed up to receive device credits , your plan pricing cannot go up or they pay the credits even if you leave. Last 2-3 months they gave out all these device "deals" and then jacked up the price on plans.

Agreed 100%. I did the iPhone deal and upgraded 4 lines and a week later they texted me that they are increasing price by $5 per line. Dick move by T-Mobile.

In person or call the Tmobile Costco line

If you do it in store, be sure that your local Costco sells Tmobile service. Not all of them do

Had that happen to me, the bigger problem though is that my plan had the old price lock guarantee for life that they did not honor. I had no problem doing these device credits because I was under the understanding that my price would never increase.

you werent effected by the $5 price increase?
No, it didn't but they charge tax on my FREE ON US Lines even though it is free. No price Increase. Paying $140 for last several years with 8 lines and international calling for all lines.

I still have this phone sealed in the box from the last time they did this deal two years ago (got 3 months left). Not going to get another because there's no guarantee they won't jack up the price of the lines with shady t-mobile lately.

I got a free line promo shortly that was offered shortly after that $5/line bump. I recall them saying that the free line was not eligible for device promos, but the site is allowing me to proceed through the checkout just fine.

Is it likely they would reverse the credits later if I'm not eligible?

I have this phone, purchased in January. It's fine, if a little too big for my taste. However, trade in value for most websites and retailers is $10 Or $15.

For the Costco's $100 GC Promo,
is this a "ANY Device" promo?
where is this promo listed?
anyone know the promo's ID, end date, slickdeal page, or other details?

DCC (Device Connection Charge) = $35 one time charge by T-Mobile (an "activation" charge per new device or per new line)
GC (Gift Card) = Costco's Gift Card (in this context)

Dont do it. Don't get sucked into T-Mobile for 2 more years as they jack up your bill.

I say this as a 15 year Tmo customer who cant wait to get out

If this was the 2025 model, I might be tempted, because Motorola has horrible policies when it comes to keeping their Smart Phones updated. They average about a year or two of updates, both for Android and Security before they stop supporting older phones, so this phone has already done one year of updates. And, they also take forever sending out the updates that you do get. My phone was running on a November 2024 security patch until a few days ago when I got updated to the April 2025 security patch, in May. Also, most Motorola phones only get an upgrade to a newer version of Android once, where other phones like the Google Pixel series, or even most Samsung phones might be upgraded to multiple years of new versions of Android. I got the phone that I am using now as a Christmas present last year, and it's already one number of Android behind most other phones, and it will never be updated to the current version.
