There should be some law that if you signed up to receive device credits , your plan pricing cannot go up or they pay the credits even if you leave. Last 2-3 months they gave out all these device "deals" and then jacked up the price on plans.

Agreed 100%. I did the iPhone deal and upgraded 4 lines and a week later they texted me that they are increasing price by $5 per line. Dick move by T-Mobile.

In person or call the Tmobile Costco line

If you do it in store, be sure that your local Costco sells Tmobile service. Not all of them do

Dont do it. Don't get sucked into T-Mobile for 2 more years as they jack up your bill.

I say this as a 15 year Tmo customer who cant wait to get out
Indeed.
They got me in November, but that was for $800 off a Pixel 9 ProXL($200 +tax total)
Then raised my plan $5/line.

Fortunately my old plan is still <$20/line for 6 lines after the increase.

I still have this phone sealed in the box from the last time they did this deal two years ago (got 3 months left). Not going to get another because there's no guarantee they won't jack up the price of the lines with shady t-mobile lately.
This phone or the moto edge 2022?

I have the 2022. Luckily those still qualified for being able to pay it off and still get the credits

Simple choice here and so far I haven't gotten those $5 per line increases.

I think I received a text for a 50 cent increase per line last month. I have to check for the exact price

Just trying to help the SD community. I did this same promo couple years ago and got the moto edge 2022 successfully (4 max). Its an okay phone decent for kids or light users who dont need the latest flagship. The deal is a win if you have a worthless broken phone/ screen, and/or an irresponsible family member and want to trade-in to something that can be used towards another future deal plus a Costco shop card makes it a no-brainer to avoid the $35 activation fee. Yes its going to lock you into tmobile for 2 years IF you wish to keep the bill credits. The phone does NOT need to be active every month to your account. My family member lost (2) of the Edge phones already, and I'm still receiving the bill credits and nearly finished despite (2) phones lost for over a year. If you are the type that wants the hassle of jumping from carrier to carrier and take advantage of every "deal promo" and spend time researching annually, thats your choice. For me, i personally have 3 "Free lines" already on Simple choice, I'm not going anywhere I did not receive a $5 increase per line text to answer prior comments. Yes I too took advantage of the Free line 2 months ago for loyalty with tmobile 10+ years. It was inside the T-Life app and the phone rep took care of it easily (targeted depending on your status with them). If you wish to read more into Current and Expired promotions, I research promos directly here to read the fine print and eligibility rules: https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/p...er-details For those who dont like the Moto Edge 2024, I just found a Samsung A16 5G that says any condition and any plan as well as an added option to You. Samsung Trade ID250302
Promo Code: R137
Start Date: April 24, 2025

Hope this helps!

I'm not the person you quoted but yes, Tmobile is a bit strict with the 40 day policy. You can try to call and the rep can try to escalate it to someone higher up and they can approve or deny the unlock

I'm planning to get out of Tmobile right when I'm done paying for all these phones. Such a price hike. 8 lines x 5= 40 dollars increase

Whoa, that is very concerning. Which plan do you use? Do you know if you are paying a higher price for that plan than other subscribers? The reason I'm asking is because it sounds like T-Mobile targeted you for a price increase specifically because you did their iPhone deal. (Unless the price increase was applied simultaneously nationwide to every subscriber on that plan, in which case I apologize for my misunderstanding.)
