Anyone have experience with this rod? Curious about trying a bait caster.

Very solid beginner combo to get used to using a baitcaster. Have caught several bass and pike with it. Highly recommend at this price point.

I like this set up so much I bought it twice. For $50, it's an absolute steal. The reel is a Silver Max and worth $50 on its own. The rod is a true medium and is very durable. I always get confused when referring to bait casters. I prefer left hand retrieve like with all my spinner reels. So not sure what makes this "left hand" unless the photo is inaccurate.

For $50 it's worth it but the build quality of the rod is not very good.

Same here, purchased this combo in 2023 and again in 2024. Nice to see the deal is back, but I don't need another one yet. It is a very decent setup, the reel is good and I like the length of the rod. Hard to beat at $50. The use the same stock photo for both the left and right hand model. The left hand model that is discounted for $50 has the reel handle on the left side.

Is it moderate action as the description says as well?

FYI. It's left handed only. Handle will be on the left unlike most baitcasters where it's on the right.

I'm right handed and I'm used to reeling with my left. Is this the option I want to go with?
