You have to stay with T-Mobile for 24 months to get the credit. Not a good deal.

I happened to be at a tmo store today and asked about this. Any plan. Any phone trade in, working or not. Up to four per account. Also available at Costco, likely with a gift card.
I've got more than four free lines from past promos waiting for phones so this is a good deal for me.

Been a customer for 19 years... what's 2 more years? Over the years received over 5 free phones per line 5 lines...and saved thousands of dollars along the way since my bill is so low versus current pricing.

You got a better carrier in mind? One that gives away free lines? I got two free lines within a month. I'll wait.

Free Lines are good if you have real use of them. I have been keeping my free lines for years just because they're "free" and have little use of them. My wife has always been questioning why I insist on keeping them because we still have to pay the fees and taxes on those lines, and over the years, our overall bill has increased by probably over 20% because they kept increasing those fees.

Recently they even broke the price lock and rasied the price on our old plan, I am not sure how much longer I'll stay with TMO.

What fees and taxes? I looked my billing statement, and l don't see any for my free lines.

I've been on T-Mobile since 2003. Good deal.

On these deals, do you have to switch your phones at the store or do they just give you the phone (still in the box) and it's up to you when you want to activate?

Does anyone know if this impacts other potential EIP rules like one eip per line or total eip credit per account? I like to use the upgrades on my line each year on the new iPhones and don't want to waste it on this if there is a limit

I'd like to know this as well. People have mentioned you can have up to four EIP's per line, but I'm still unsure how that works with the credits. Have a couple of bum phones in a parts drawer, would be nice to exchange for working backups

If you do it online, make sure you fill in the form perfect. Last time a deal with trade in any phone with any condition. I got screwed because they claim my phone have a broken screen but didn't fill out the form correctly......

if that ever happens, t-force or even regular CS should be able to straighten that out; since the promotion stated *any condition*
