I did finally get in after trying an hour later.
The pricing on their REI branded gear is consistent, I only buy when on sale anyways.

For instance, I can get a good quality balance bike for my 3 year old at Sams for under $40 but cheapest I see at REI is selling for $120. I know they are both different brands, but what additional value I am getting for that premium?
