I got mine with the stand from the previous deal. Already used it to make some cuts. After a few adjustments, it's 99.9% square, as good as you can get with a miter saw.

You can mod it easily to get a shadow line. All you need is a led, usb cable and a battery pack. There is some videos on youtube. You don't need to buy the $100 expensive kit to mod it.

The blade that comes with the saw is decent. Did pretty good with my 2x4s and test cuts. But if you want cleaner cuts with less tears, definitely get a better blade with a higher teeth count.

I don't think you can get a better miter saw for this price.

The part you reference has been resolved by Dewalt about 3-4 years ago, and replacement parts were provided to the owners at no charge under a recall. None of the saws sold today should be of any concern.

I bought this and it's huge and takes up a massive footprint due to the sliding bar mechanism. Also difficult to get it through doorways because of its awkward size and heaviness. In hindsight I wish I had bought the Bosch 12" sliding saw which has a clever hinge mechanism instead of the sliding bar so it takes up a lot less room. I have hinge envy.
Checkout the Rigid or Delta with same glididing feature and the shadow LED light.

Rigid doesn't make the hinged sliding miter saw anymore, or at least I can't find it on the HD website.
My son has the Delta variant and does not like it. The saw won't stay squared up.

The saw is listed as.a double bevel with a huge discount on Home Depots website. The same part number on Amazon shows it being a single bevel saw $100 dollars higher than Home Depot. The double bevel saw is around $499 on Amazon and Home Depot. While this is $100 savings it doesn't appear to be a huge savings as listed.

This is double bevel, and the $100 higher price is also on sale. Full price is $599. It's regularly on sale at 400 but 287 is very cheap.

Id say it's a high end model. I have the DWS780. The model above this. The difference being the led for your cut line. However you can modify this saw to add that feature.

What about the 22.5deg bevel stops? Does this model have it? I used a friends 60V one and having the 22.5 stop was so awesome for bullnose corners

I bought the Bosch and after lifting it decided that it was going to live in the garage. Bought the 7.25 battery slide but it pisses me off as well it won't cut 2.5 'L' crown without a square cut first and then a miter cut also I wish it was 8" or 8.25" what ever the table saw is. You can get thicker kerf blades in 8" important if your trying to take another 32nd off hardwoods oak

Really? Mine broke after 1 day of use and support just sent me another one that was exactly the same plastic. I just use it without it. Figured it would break just as easy. No mention of a recall. I'll look into that.

Yeah I'm

It's up to $399.00 now. I guess it's still a good deal.
