In for one. FYI to those for whom it's good enough, however: iPhones (and probably others) have a built in background noise function with a bunch of different voices. Settings -> Accessibility -> Audio/Visual -> Background Sounds.

I got one of these the last time that it was on sale. I like it very much. It has a timer that turns off after 30,60, or 90 minutes, or you can have it say on continually. Being so small, the battery is not huge, but you can leave it plugged into a charger all night no problem.

Some of the sounds are silly (lullaby music, a woman saying "Shhhh" repeatedly), but my absolute favorite is the rainfall sounds.

It is great for helping to drown out ambient noise, and it is TINY.

I just got it last Friday and I plan to return it soon.
The product matches its spec, but several shortcomings that are unacceptable for me.
1. The sound quality is bad. I understand that this is the limit of small speaker which is caused by its tiny size, but this make it sounds really bad to me, so I'm distracted by the sound quality during sleeping.
2. Seems every sound is repeated at about two minutes. Which is ok for this type of device. But when I fail to sleep, I will try to find the duplication when my brain realizes it. So I cannot sleep at all with this device.

Of course, the real period of it needs someone to record and analyze to get accurate timing. Or disassemble the device and check rom size on it.

All in all, a nice small gadget, but not for me.
Sounds like the brain on the spectrum to analyze like this

It's so good that I just bought it again. It's $2 cheaper now. Don't listen to the naysayers.

Got this the last time and it works fine. Stays on when plugged into a USC C to C plug. SOmetimes you have to plug and replug so the light goes red. Must be some weird hardware compatibility issue. I bought another smaller one that had problems with shutting off or not staying charged if it was plugged in all night. This isnt the smaller one out there but it charging properly all night makes it the better option. It is loud enough but it isnt super loud.

I suppose it is useful if you don't have echo dot with Sleep Sounds, a phone with the Calm app or similar, or a Roku tv with the nature app. Looks small enough to travel with.

Yeah, keep in mind that this a standalone device that doesn't need internet to keep it playing. Perfect for traveling and off the grid places or even inside your room where you don't need to worry about the connection.

Thats great and all but to buy an iPhone updated enough for the feature you could buy tons of these lol. Still good idea though.

Very helpful! Anyone know if Android has something similar?
Launch your Clock app, then tap the Bedtime icon on the bottom right.

Well yeah, but uh, this is assuming you already have an iPhone in your pocket… no one was implying you'd go to the Apple store and buy an iPhone just to use as a white noise machine 😅

Do not buy. Even with full charge, it will not last through the night and will just suddenly turn off.

tell us more, please? How long have you owned this device? I day, 1 week, 1 month. Or did you just get it?

If I just got the device turned it on, and listened to a sound, the device would turn off in 30 minutes! It has a built in timer, that you can adjust. You didn't even mention the timer? Why not? But the default setting is 30 mins and then SUDDENLY turns off!

There are 4 settings, 30 mins, 60 mins, 90 mins and continuous mode. Maybe look at the amazon page again to see the features. It has 32 volume settings (16 up and 16 down volume), and other features. With precise volume control from 0 to 32 levels, customize it to your preference, whether in noisy hotels or with a snoring partner
