Yes, one router can be the primary and the others access points by wiring together. My setup is RAX120 as the main and three R8000 as APs, no complaints.

In my opinion, when your client devices able to pull 6GHz band, wifi 7 already available to this price range $200-$300. Otherwise, the advertised capabilities meaningless, even with mesh network capability to older nodes.

I dont think this is that good of a deal, at this price range can go wifi 7.

Thats not a mesh, and no a standalone night hawk router can not MESH like Asus or TP-Link can. You can as pointed out by Grifado use another router a dumb AP and just expand your coverage like that, but it does not have any of that fun AI stuff that Mesh is supposed to do.

There is a standalone nighthawk mesh product line for people looking for mesh.
