Unless you really need the x86 compatibility you would likely be better served by the ARM version of this computer. It is faster day to day and with dramatically better battery life. That being said the track pads and screen on these are excellent, among the best in windows, so surface laptops in general are quite pleasant to use.

ebay has certified refurb Surface Laptop 7s starting at 599. I think, for anyone who doesn't need specialized device with explicit x86 requirement, you're better off buying that instead!
