These are the best adjustable dumbbells out there. The mechanism is so simple. Will last forever. Had Bowles and they were great but every once in a while would jam the dial. Can't happen with these. Seem like they will last forever.

In for 1. I've had my eye on a system like this for a while. I just got the base 5-50 lbs one for now. I'll consider expansions later as I need them.

Bought these in late 2020 for $360 and I do not regret my purchase at all. Further bought the stage 2 expansion a couple years later (which is one of the biggest pros to these compared to most other adjustable dumbbells).

I have used these pretty much ever day for the past 5 years and the only wear is slight chips on the paint where the different plates touch. I don't see why these won't last me another 5 years if not more. I doubt most adjustable dumbbells in this price range with more moving parts will last even close to as long.

Does anyone have the bench? Is it worth the money?

Just be aware this model is discontinued and thats the reason these are on Woot sales. So it may be difficult to find the expansion set on sale in the future.
I bought the stage 1 and 2 set and have been waiting months for the stage 3 set to go on sale. Jumping on this now while I can

i disagree. they do not have sufficient adjustment and can only be done in increments of 5, 7.5, or 10, and is missing the ability to do 2.5, 12.5, etc.
the adjusting mechanism is a hassle compared to the $50 "wrist-rotatable dials" i have from walmart. you must have a strong, flat, hard surface at waist level or else it takes manual labor to adjust, which interferes with rest times especially in supersets.

I have these powerblocks and the Rep x Pepins so I'm familiar with these products. To clarify, the powerblocks have adjustments in 2.5, 5.0, and 10 (not 7.5lbs) using the adder weights.
In terms of fast weight adjustments, the DBs with twisting handles and dials (Nuobells, Snodes, Bowflex, CoreHome Fitness, etc.) are top tier. The downside of these twisting mechanisms are durability. Lots of moving parts and most are plastic. Rep x Pepins are second in speed for weight adjustments compared to the twisting mechanism but come with unparallel durability.

Powerblocks are fairly quick (using a selector pin). They require to be on a flat surface, but all adjustable DBs do. But a notable feature that these Powerblocks have when it comes to dropsets/supersets is that they can be adjusted without the cradle. Its more time/energy consuming during dropsets to have to put the DBs back in the cradle/stand, lower the weights, and bring it back out. But the powerblocks can be done on the floor without a cradle.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

Almost every set of dumbbells on the planet are in increments of 5 lbs, and the 5lb bars in Powerblocks swap in and out in less than 2 seconds. Have you ever been to a gym and had to walk to a rack to increase or decrease your dumbbell weight? 🤣These Powerblocks will outlive your Walmart adjustable dumbbells by many many decades…

What $50 walmart dumbbells that top out at 90 pounds are you referring to?

I just happen to be putting together a home gym and saw this deal and pulled the trigger without doing any research on dumbells. I purchased these with both of the expansions and I hope I didn't make a mistake. They seem to get some good reviews and I know I saved some money but it looks like there are a lot more options for adjustable dumbells now adays.

Powerblocks have been around for over 30 years and even with all the competition and new "technology" year in and year out, they still make almost every reputable top ten list around. Don't overthink it too much.

one thing to consider when you get these is upgrading the handles. they come with crappy rubberized tapered handles that i hated. used them once and immediately ordered some 28mm stainless handles from average joe. i mostly use them for pressing and wished i went with the larger 32mm diameter option but it depends what you use them for.
