When I've bought registering was easy enough.
I did almost always have to contact customer service to get it approved.
Customer service has always been super helpful for me.
None of that is true. You register online by uploading the receipt and if you need something fixed, they give you a prepaid shipping label to send it in.

It would be nice to have the paddle operated one but not worth $100 right now. I used mine for a lot more than I anticipated

Does Ridgid still have lifetime warranty on their batteries? I've found mixed info online.

Yes. No clue where people are getting confused. Unless they're not following the directions for registration.

I wouldn't get any Ridgid right now if the main reason is for the LSA. Their website is so messed up people are only getting 3yr warranty instead of lifetime, inaccessible accounts, etc. Check the Ridgid subreddit.

You have to register your tool to get lifetime. That's why they're not getting it. It's not automatic.

There are several reviews mentioning it overheating or stalling out. Does anybody actually have this tool? I wonder what's drama versus reality with these reviews. I've never stalled an angle grinder of any kind in my life.

Needed a cordless a couple years ago when installing solar and having to grind concrete roof tiles. So tempted. I have a $15 off $100 coupon...

Yes. I've registered every battery I've bought including the ones I bought last year. I even recently claimed one of my original 3ah batteries that finally stopped charging after over a decade. They don't make a 3ah model anymore so they sent me a brand new 2ah.
