Make sure you get these while you can -- 8bitdo is stopping shipments to the USA due to the lovely tariff situation! (who knows, maybe it'll convince them to start making their controllers in the USA...)

I got this model about 2 weeks ago. It's a great controller and responsive for pc gaming but man are the buttons loud to the point where I'm considering returning it. It's very clicky like a mechanical keyboard and coming from a PS controller where the presses are smooth it's a pretty big difference

8bitdo have a firmware updater that can update both the controller and the dongle when plugged directly into a computer.

If you go to the updater's about menu you can enable beta updates which might contain hotfixes for any recently discovered issues.

Generally the updater is good about letting you upgrade or downgrade, telling you what version your device currently has, and providing a log with what's in each release.

The tariffs were recently reduced somewhat for 90 days, though they are still extremely high, and their online store carries a banner stating US shipping has been resumed, but who knows what's going to happen next..

Folks , there's 0 chance that tariffs will create manufacturing jobs back to the US in any meaningful way. We will likely lose a lot more jobs due to tariffs and immigration

Well, then people will have no choice but to put the marios down for a bit until things change.
