This is a good deal, but you can make a track saw with a regular circular saw really easily. Tommy @ This Old House shows how.

I owned this track saw for over a year and it was really great. Powerful enough and certainly accurate enough for my needs. Great deal and I sold mine for more than this when I upgrade to the m18... I'd say grab it if you break down sheet goods at least once a month.

It is worth it if you don't want WEN batteries

Is there a DTO equivalent for Milwaukee tools? Just got into the m12 platform and loving it .
I would image that DTO is affiliated with if not owned by TTI (the folks that make Ryobi, Ridgid, Milwaukee, etc).
I've seen a handful of Milwaukee items at the DTO store, but it was less than 5% of the inventory, if even that.

I own the M18 track saw but I'm still tempted to get this for smaller jobs, its included 27" tracks can be handy
you could just buy 27" tracks for the m18... unlike the ryobi it doesn't use a proprietary one.

Agreed. I have the Kreg rip-cut. It will take just about any standard circular saw, and it works just fine.

The Kreg accu-cut is a step above.

Best you can get without a table saw in my opinion.

I hear you want both, which depending on the cut. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had the Kreg accu cut and it was garbage. I read a bunch of reviews on SD and YouTube and thought hey this thing can't be that bad, right? WRONG! Heed the reviews, I could not get it to cut straight or even reasonably line up. The "carriage" that your circular saw goes in is plastic and has a bunch of flex. I promptly returned it to Lowe's and bought the corded Wen and tracks. That has quickly become one of my favorite tools, it works great, let alone for the price of around $160 including tracks and clamps.
That said, had this Ryobi been anywhere near the price, I'd have grabbed it since I have a bunch of batteries. When it isn't on sale, it's not competitively priced.

Yeah for sure, definitely don't need it, as a matter of fact passed this 130$ deal a few times before I got my m18. I have a soft spot for team green and like that it's smaller/ lighter. That said I'm gonna stay strong and let someone else have this deal.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Tommy using a Festool track saw on the show, which pretty much says it all.

For $130 and free shipping (mayhem code) this is a no brainer for me. Quick step into a track saw out of the box. I use dewalt batteries with an adapter usually, but I also have a few Ryobi batteries as well. Thanks op.

That's purely sponsorship. I was curious as well and they talk about it during one of their making of episodes

What is the best way to get a full 100" of track for ripping full sheets of ply? The tracks alone are 70 on DTO and out of stock which seems high to me

Was just going to post this. It also says it's Factory Reconditioned in the details. There is another listing for the Factory Blemished version at a higher price.
You must be new to Ryobi or Direct tools. Direct Tools is owned by same company as Ryobi and others. Since the brand "New" can only be sold by HD, they sell them as reconditioned on the website. All my Ryobi arsenal is from DirectTools.. Never had a problem with even one of them. That said, Ryobi Track saw is the only tool I will not recommend. It does not give accurate cuts, too much flex and does not use a standard track as other brands.
