Like I posted in the wireless thread, I got one of these a few weeks ago, it works great as a PC controller but is very very clicky on the button presses. Think of the loudness as a mechanical keyboard while the ps or Xbox controllers are way more quieter and fluid, I ended up returning mine for a Xbox controller

Cannot fathom how Sony and Microsoft still sell significantly less durable controllers for well over three times the cost of these 8Bitdos. It should be illegal at this point

In layman's terms, they use magnets so the sticks don't drift. None of the major first party controllers have them.

So all of their wireless controllers work with the Xbox with the adapter, but none of them work wirelessly without the adapter for Xbox?

Xbox uses propretiary wireless protocal. You have to license its usage. Any reverse engineering would imply you violated terms. Only super expensive stuff like Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller are licensed.

There are Chineseium controllers with USB adapters, which is not that different from 8Bitdo's solutoin.
