Seems ok although arris is known for cable modems but makes average to terrible routers.

A wireless bridge that requires it to pair with the other Arris before transferring the information to the router, so makes it more complicated with nothing to be gained...

You can just buy a wireless wifi 6E adapter external for around $30 and save yourself all the trouble. Internals are as cheap as $20. If it had at least 2 or 3 ports to hook up multiple I would say worth it, but single port meh...

The benefit for me is I can hook it up to a switch and connect a bunch of devices instead of having to buy multiple individual adapters. No drivers to install easily moved to a new system. I don't think this a product well suited for most people but for me I'm more interested in bridging a network than I am in connecting just one computer.

I wanted something like this, but I don't really need it. My current mesh setup can do 300+Mbps on wireless backhaul and all my ethernet is 1Gbps (not 2.5Gbps). I generally don't download huge files over wifi ( I do over ethernet). If I want to upgrade the speed near my satellite device, this wireless bridge would be perfect.
Note this thing does consume > 7 watts per device (175Wh / 24 hours, from the review below), so > 14 watts total. That would translate to >$40 per year (rough number), in my area (with very high electricity rate), which is more than the price of the equipment.

If I were to upgrade the wireless backhaul to wired backhaul, but with low power consumption, I would consider using a thin, clear optical cable, which is nearly invisible when I run them on the wall (near crown molding and alike). The switches that support optical port have generally very low power consumption, similar to copper cable ethernet switch.

💯. Bridging networks on a faster (if you have good line of sight) / less congested 6ghz band is the main selling point of this. It's also not affected by radar like 5.8ghz DFS channels. This might be important if you used up the regular non-DFS 5.8ghz channels and don't want overlap reducing your performance.

I got this last time. There's a setting in the menu that lets you enable the ssid and allow other wireless 6e devices to connect to it. So you can basically buy this and add wireless 6e plus 1 wireless 6e mesh unit to a router/mesh network which doesn't support 6ghz.

I placed the satellite in the same location I have a linksys ln1301 satellite which uses a 5ghz backhaul. Connected an ethernet cable to a laptop to test the speeds on each. On the linksys I was getting around 400-500 mbps. On the arris 6e it was maxing out my 1 gigabit internet connection.

Awesome! I saw the ssid setting in the docs but wasn't sure if that was a different version or something.

So this can function as an access point if you have wired backhaul?

Do you have one or any other information on this? When Dongknows reviewed it, it could not. It could only bridge 1 single device, the second part.

edit: I see one of the amazon reviews says it [now added I guess] has an access point to connect other devices. cool. this is a cheap 6ghz AP.
