This is just me, but I'd need a gallon Ziploc bag to come out ahead. But still beats the latest restaurant prices if you can polish off an extra helping or two of protein. Good deal.

I wonder if it will be like the Red Lobster Endless Shrimp scam where you'd want a refill and would never see the waitress again, and if you did they'd bring you a small plate with like 3 shrimp on it Big Grin

Red Lobster ended up near bankruptcy because of that promotion. The previous CEO resigned and they had to hire a new one from PF Chang's to bring it back.
I guess Applebee's will probably be gone for good after this.

The last time they had this, they had boneless wings instead of the tenders. The riblets and shrimp were really good, but the wings were hard and inedible. The tenders HAVE to be better.

I can do three servings of the riblets.
My daughter can eat 30+ of the boneless bites.
If you don't get $3 drinks it's not a bad deal.
I skip the drinks and leave a better tip.

Do they ever allow you to start with one and end with another? Or are you stuck with the option you choose?

That was a convenient lie to put the blame on customers. The real reason they went bankrupt was because they sold the business to a holding company who then sold all their real estate before dumping the floundering restaurant on a different owner. Holding company made off with the bag while every single restaurant now had to pay rent, a cost that they had never had to account for.

Blaming customers for abusing the "all-you-can-eat shrimp" deal was just capitalism trying to muddy the waters for capitalism's actions. Because the truth is that the greed of a few people is what killed Red Lobster. Same as it ever was.

We ordered this deal last Sunday to use up a gift card. Our waitress was outstanding. She informed us to order what we like the best first because the refills are smaller. She mentioned there was only the initial serving of coleslaw, but we could get refills on the fries, if we wanted. It was a huge amount of fries and I didn't finish mine. We started with the shrimp, which was 12. Then we tried the riblets, but while they tasted great, the bones were small and you couldn't see them because of the BBQ sauce. It was not a small rib, it was some small bones with some meat on them. Then I ordered the chicken, and my hubby ordered more shrimp. The server brought 2 orders off chicken and one of shrimp. It was 3 fairly large breaded pieces of chicken, and 6 shrimp. I ordered the shrimp, and we were done. Service was very quick. YMMV. This was in Las Vegas. Restaurant was about half full.
