I bit on this the last time these Oakleys came up. After about 3 weeks of wear the lenses are already obscured by scratches. I do not recommend them for anything but super light wear.

Maybe it's fake, and Field Supply, alongside the other vendors constantly advertised here, are not authorized retailers?

bought from them twice, theyre real...

they constantly are running specials on their oakley liquidations that they buy...

currently stock looks pretty thin compared to the avg field supply oakley thread

If these were fake theyd have a hell of a lot better selection

They also own CigarPage, which is pretty much always the best price you can get for cigars, these guys just run a lot of deals.

Oakley is overpriced junk since Luxottica takeover. Mostly made in China, only slightly better quality than dollar store glasses.

I hate to agree here; however, I do agree. It's sad. I have a mirrored pair of Oakleys that have been babied and the lenses are peeling. Prizms purchased at Macy's BTW.

Avid cyclist (road+mtn) here and I swear by Oakley bc their lenses are pretty good. Any lens will scratch if you don't take the proper care. New competitors as of late, but for deep discounts like these, they're worth it.

Have owned many Oakley's. Wearing a pair of gascans right now. But have to agree. I baby my sunglasses and rarely drop them but I get maybe 1 year out of each pair before they are stretched out or the lenses are scratched up.

Meanwhile I got a pair of Costas with glass lenses and they lasted me 3 years without a scratch on the lens. They finally did break but not the lens.

Well, hate to break it to you but Luxotica now owns Costa also and I've already seen some of the same decreases in quality.

The point being made is the fact that glass lens will last longer, not who makes what.

Glass lenses are more durable but will also shatter into your eye.
